Palm Springs: From High Above
Palm Springs is a community located in a desert in California, USA, and it is famous for a few things: the windmills (which produces much of the electricity consumed there), the palm trees that line the streets, celebrity homes, the rotating tram that takes you up to the mountain, and its gay community. We were so lucky to have witnessed all of these. We even witnessed an actual gay marriage! Too bad I didn’t get a shot of the kiss.
For me, the highlight of the trip is really the rotating tram and the fantastic view up the canyon. We did have a meal at the restaurant there (where we saw the outdoor gay marriage), and go to the viewpoint to take some photos. For the more adventurous, there’s a few more activities listed at the tram’s official website such as hiking, camping, and skiing.
And here’s some photos from the top:
Taking the tram up to the mountain is just one of the things you can do in Palm Springs. For more info, you can visit their tourism website: http://www.visitpalmsprings.com/
